The Eagle One Pro is Varla’s first beast scooter and it appears there will be a lot of top-quality high-performance scooters this season. This is in the context of Segway’s GT Series and the brand new Apollo Pro.

Varla’s Eagle One Pro sits on the fence as an extremely light-weight scooter that borrows its specs from beast scooters. It’s heavier than resident lightweight heavier models Apollo Phantom, Vsett 10+, and Kaabo Mantis Pro, which weighs 79lbs. And, it also comes with 11 inches road tires, typical of beast scooters like the Storm or Wolf King GT.

The Varla Eagle One Pro scooter is also amazing with a way above trend top speed per dollar, exceptional performance per pound and excellent braking per dollar. That’s not even the best feature. Because of the big tires-something that you’re always hoping to hear about-the scooter has great ground clearance, with a total of 36 inches. They are also good for traction, but could be better. The suspension feels stiff and bouncy for urban trails, but the stiffness is useful when driving off-road. However, you may not be a fan of the shorter deck or the uncomfortable kickplate, especially off-road.

Acceleration

The Varla Eagle Pro’s acceleration does not match that of light heavyweight scooters-it is so much better. Varlar Reviews. It’s tested with an speed of 2.1 seconds up to 15 millimeter mark. Top Speed

We are awestruck by our love for the Varla Eagle Pro’s top speed, especially for its price tag. Hill Climb

Its Varla Eagle Pro scooter is impressive for a lot of things including hill-climbing, which is certainly one of the most impressive. The electric scooter can climb hills without losing too much energy, and it doesn’t seem to let up with heavy riders or in low battery situations. During our 60 m hill test at a 10% slope it was found that the scooter could maintain a speed of around 17 mph (and over) till around 10% charge. Varlar Reviews.

The company credits the superb hill climbing to the robust twin motors, rated at 1000W each, and a peak power of 2600 W. Varla claims that the motors deliver an impressive 36 Nm or torque enough to propel the scooter upwards up to 35deg.

 

Range

There is nothing better than good mileage on an electric scooter which is why it’s true that the Varla Eagle Pro scooter offers a decent 58 km of range tested. Interestingly, the only scooter that is within the $400 range of the Eagle One Pro that can surpass it in terms of distance is Wolf Warrior X Pro, with a test range that was 41 miles. It beat other scooters with higher prices, e.g., the Kaabo Mantis Pro with a 33 miles of range. Dualtron Eagle Pro at 32 miles and Vsett 10+ with 33 miles.

The battery behind the range is a high capacity battery of 60V 24 Ah that has 1440 Wh of power. It is larger and more efficient with 21700 cells in the battery. It’s a leap from the predecessor, called that of the Eagle One, whose battery was classified at 946 wh, and came with only 18650 lithium cells. Both batteries integrate smart battery management systems to keep the battery in good condition. The process of charging the battery to its capacity can take between 8 and 9 hours, however you can purchase an additional charger to reduce charging time to four to five hours.

 

Braking

Let’s face it, we would prefer that all scooters came with hydraulic brakes. However, that doesn’t mean electric scooters with cable brakes are dangerous or undependable when they come to stopping. Absolutely not. In fact the cable brakes as well as EABS of the Varla Eagle Pro have a proven braking power that is truly impressive and simple to set up. Varlar Reviews.

The EABS prevents that the brakes aren’t locking up. They are adjustable via the P-settings on the display. You can adjust them between 0 and 2, with 0 being an insufficient setting, while 2 is a stronger setting.

 

Ride Quality

Ride quality can be described as acceptable, but it’s not great. One thing they do not discuss when talking about all-terrain e-scooters is that they are primarily focused on the off-roading measures.

The tubeless pneumatic road tires are ideal for comfort, especially when traveling offroad. Their tubeless design is perfect to avoid pinch flats caused by rocks. If, however, you’re buying the scooter for use mostly on city tracks, then it’s better to switch to self-sealing, knobby tires. These would automatically double your traction, preserve your comfort, and reduce maintenance. The suspension system feels hard. This Varla Eagle Pro could have benefited more from adjustable shocks or a spring with less spring force. However, the stiff setup is effective when handling large bumps and prevents the scooter from crashing. When the tracks are well maintained the suspension is a little too bouncy for ease of use.

It is also equipped with a steering damper. Eagle Pro also comes with a built-in steering damper. At high speeds and straight tracks, users can enjoy a great stability. At top speed the stability does not equal that offered by dual stem monsters like the Wolf King GT but rather feels like the Dualtron Thunder or Nami Burn with a damper for steering installed. However, the damper on the steering also implies that the riders will be forced to work harder on the handlebars when making turns.

The deck is another cause of concern. It is too short and due to this lack of usable deck real estate, riders are constantly forced to put their back foot on the footrest that is not ergonomically designed. One bright spot to this model is that Varla Eagle Pro compensates for the sloppy stance by providing an ergonomically laid-out cockpit that is easy to use. It was designed to be comfortable and ease of use. Controls are also ergonomically designed and compliment the clear, large 9 centimeter display.

Overall, between the hefty feel of the steering as well as the sporty riding posture, and the intense acceleration The Eagle One Pro is exhilarating to ride but can also be quite workout when you’re riding hard.
